Planting the Seeds for a Secure Future

Planting the Seeds for a Secure Future

Grace H. Flandrau 1886 - 1971
St. Paul author, Grace Hodgson Flandrau, loved history. She chose to leave her mark by establishing an endowed scholarship fund in honor of her father-in-law, Judge Charles E. Flandrau, with the goal of promoting research and publication in the field of Minnesota history. Nearly 40 years later, more than 25 MHS staff members have benefitted from her generosity and have gone on to publish and promote Minnesota history, making it accessible to people in our state and beyond for all time.

Helping you achieve your dreams today and tomorrow

Wherever you look, you can see and enjoy the benefits of planned gifts in our community. Many hospitals, parks, nature areas, schools, museums and historical organizations like ours receive critical funding for programs and services as the result of planned gifts. With the help of your attorney or CPA, your planned gift can help further the mission of the Minnesota Historical Society and possibly provide you savings on current and/or estate taxes.

The Minnesota Historical Society acknowledges donors of planned gifts by adding them as members in our Legacy Society. If you have already named the Minnesota Historical Society as a primary or residual beneficiary in your will or estate plan, please let us know so we can add you as a member.
