Mark Haidet, celebrating his history at the Society...
Kathryn Tokar Haidet, Abraham Lincoln historian and interpreter, Fritz Klein, Mark Haidet
In appreciation for all the incredible work Mark has done, we are pleased to announce a $100,000 donation from an anonymous donor establishing The Mark and Kathryn Tokar Haidet endowment fund. Through this fund, Mark's legacy at the Society will continue and help us preserve our great state's history, to which he has been so devoted.
Mark has been a model of professionalism and stability for nearly four decades of service to the Society and our Development office. He helped to shape the department and its strategy to address the Society's evolving needs. Through his compassion and dedication to donors, he assisted countless individuals in connecting with our mission to preserve Minnesota's rich history by creating endowment funds. Additionally, Mark was heavily involved in three major successful campaigns in the past twenty-six years, helping create the Minnesota History Center, Mill City Museum, and the Minnesota's Greatest Generation project. There is no doubt Mark's work helped craft the Minnesota Historical Society into what it is today.
Everyone at MNHS agrees that Mark deserves every bit of gratitude we can offer to him and we wish him the best in the next phase of his life. As we continue on as philanthropic caretakers of Minnesota's heritage, we honor Mark's years of service.
