Spring, Summer, Winter or Fall, it's always a season to learn
The Hall Family has had a long tradition of valuing higher education and giving back to the community through service. The tradition began with the family matriarch, Clara Hall, a small town Iowa girl who attended the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago in the 1920s. The tradition continued with Clara's three children Caroll, Irving and Lyle as they went on to complete undergraduate and graduate degrees. And the tradition continues today as the third and fourth generations of Hall children receive their own college degrees.
Upon the recent death of Lyle Hall, the family decided to create a named endowment fund at the Minnesota Historical Society. The Hall Family Scholarship Fund will support higher education scholarships granted to students volunteering at the Minnesota Historical Society. The Hall family views this permanent endowment fund as a continuation and expression of their commitment to community service and higher education.
The fund was created as a true "family fund", with the idea that future generations of Halls will make contributions to this fund long into the future.
We would welcome the opportunity to work with you to create an endowed fund that will support your specific area of interest at the Society too.
